PHOTOS: More dramatic photos of the Okanagan wildfires

The Okanagan has turned into the Smoke-anagan.

There are a number of wildfires burning in the region, including a few noteworthy fires. The BC Wildfire Service has been busy since Tuesday night after widespread lightning sparked multiple fires across the province, especially in the Okanagan and Similkameen.

Residents have been taking some stunning shots of the blazes, from a safe distance of course.

Here are a few captures our readers shared with us. Don’t forget to tag KelownaNow on Instagram and Twitter, or send your pictures to news@kelownanow.com to be featured.

There are evacuation orders and alerts in place for the Mount Eneas wildfire, estimated at 600 hectares. Some Lakeshore residents in Kelowna are under an evacuation alert due to the Good Creek wildfire, now estimated at 340 hectares in size.

There is a air quality statement for the Okanagan Valley due to wildfire smoke.
