Rope team rescues woman after crash in Lake Country

A woman was rescued after driving off a road in Lake Country on the weekend.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) said its rope team was deployed to help firefighters after the crash on Sunday afternoon.

The woman’s vehicle went off Oyama Lake Road, rescuers explained.

Two teams of volunteers successfully extracted her, though she was injured.

The extent of her injuries have not yet been revealed.

COSAR said she was transferred to Kelowna General Hospital for treatment.
