(UPDATE: 10 a.m.) - The Petro-Canada at 4301 25th Ave. in Vernon has now lowered its price from 121.9 cents a litre to 117.9 cents a litre.
It seems as if the two neighbouring gas stations on 25th Avenue are in a bit of a gas war.
Fill up while you can!
(Original story: 7 a.m.) - The summer is winding down, which means those expensive summer gas prices will start to come down a bit.
We’re already seeing that in the Vernon, where the you can find the two cheapest gas stations in B.C. at the moment.
The Super Save at 4218 25th Ave. is currently sitting at 119.9 cents a litre, while the Petro-Canada right down the street at 4301 25th Ave. is 121.9 cents a litre.
Those two spots are nearly 15 cents cheaper than the rest of the Okanagan’s gas stations, even the rest of Vernon.
Most Okanagan stations are sitting between 135 and 136 cents a litre, although a couple still remains closer to 140 cents a litre in West Kelowna and Peachland.
All of these prices are reported by GasBuddy.com, but it’s possible they change in the blink of an eye, so fill up while prices are low!
If you see any other Okanagan stations dip below 130 cents a litre, shoot us an email at news@kelownanow.com.
