A troubling day in the Langley community as a burned body was found in a ditch near the 24700 block of 64th Avenue. On November 25th, just before 10:30 a.m., the Langley RCMP responded to what was called in as a possible body.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police found human remains off to the side of the road. Evidence in the early stages suggested that the individual was a victim of homicide.
Due to the remains being badly burned there are a number of answers police require in order to move forward with this homicide investigation. In addition, the victim's ID was not recovered because the body was so terribly burned.
IHIT will have to await an autopsy for the remains found in Langley yesterday. No id as the body was badly burned Have info? Call #IHIT

“There is very little detail to be released at this stage and IHIT investigators will be relying heavily on an autopsy in order to obtain details about who this victim is,” said Staff Sergeant Jennifer Pound.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
