Lottery ticket sold in BC wins $18M weekend jackpot

It was a life-changing weekend for one lucky lottery player in British Columbia.

A Lotto Max ticket purchased through PlayNow.com, the BCLC’s online platform, matched all seven numbers from Saturday’s draw to win an $18-million jackpot.

The winning numbers were: 8, 16, 24, 28, 40, 41, 47

Since the ticket was purchased online and not through a brick-and-mortar retail location, it’s unknown where the lucky ticket holder resides in BC.

They now have a full year to come forward and claim their massive prize.

Once they do that, their identity and more details about them will be released by the BCLC.

The odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot on a $5 play are 1 in 33,294,800.
