Trio arrested after BC teens buy illegal drugs online

Mounties in BC say three people have been arrested as part of an investigation into a website that was reportedly selling illicit drugs for local delivery, including to teenagers.

Police say the investigation began in early 2026 after a 16-year-old and their parent reported that the teenager had purchased psilocybin, commonly known as magic mushrooms, and cannabis from a website offering same-day delivery in Mission.

Weeks later, another parent reported that their teenager had purchased psilocybin from the same website in the form of gummies with candy-themed names.

Mission RCMP say the allegations that drugs were being sold directly to minors made the website a priority investigation for the detachment’s Crime Reduction Unit.

Officers from Mission RCMP’s General Duty and Crime Reduction Unit investigated the business through the spring.

Police say search warrants were later granted for two properties in Abbotsford, one on Spencer Street and another on King Road.

Although the business appeared to be based in Abbotsford, investigators say they confirmed it was delivering to Mission.

The searches were carried out on May 20, 2026.

Police say officers seized multiple packages of psilocybin, multiple packages of marihuana, more than 1,000 packages of edible marihuana products, more than 1,000 vapes and nearly 200 packages of edible psilocybin products.

RCMP say the presence of drugs in all seized products still needs to be confirmed through lab testing.

Two men, aged 49 and 34, and a 42-year-old woman were arrested the same day the warrants were executed.

All three have since been released from custody while the investigation continues.

Mission RCMP say the operation appeared to be limited in the types of drugs it sold, but the allegation that it was selling directly to youth made it a priority.
