Over 150 athletes from all over the world headed to Kalamalka Lake this Saturday for the Kalamalka Classic, Canada's largest Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) festival.
The 8th annual event had athletes ages ranging from 8-70 years paddleboarding 10 km across Kalamalka Lake.
In addition to the paddle board competition, the Kal Classic is also a fundraiser to protect Kalamalka Lake. The race organizers partnered with SPrKL, the society for the protection of Kalamalka Lake, to raise money to help keep Kalamalka clean.
It was a great day for people to get out and be active while enjoying and protecting the Lake!
Results of the event will be posted here.
