(UPDATE: Sept. 27 @ 2:45 pm) - The North Okanagan RCMP's serious crimes unit has taken charge of the investigation into missing Vernon resident Blayne Ferguson.
Police initially made a public appeal for information on the 27-year-old Tuesday morning, but now say that criminality is suspected in his disappearance.
The RCMP has released photos of a vehicle believed to be associated with the investigation. It's a blue 2003 four-door Toyota Echo with BC plates SJ8 28K.
"Investigators are specifically looking to speak to anyone who saw this vehicle, or has information about it’s whereabouts or activity between the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 21, and noon on Friday, Sept. 22," an RCMP release says.
The description of Ferguson provided Tuesday has not changed:
He was last seen wearing a red hoodie, camouflage pants and black shoes.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Ferguson or the vehicle in question is urged to contact the North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171.
(Original story: Sept. 26 @ 9:15 am) - The North Okanagan RCMP is hoping the public can help track down a missing man.
Blayne Ferguson, 27, was last seen in Vernon around 2 pm on Thursday, Sept. 21, and police say they’re “concerned for (his) health and well-being.”

He was last seen wearing a red hoodie, camouflage pants and black shoes.
Anyone with information on Ferguson’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local police.
