Weekend need to KNow!: Nov. 8 to 11, 2019

From charity runs and sports games, to craft markets and the biggest community events in the city, it is hard to be bored while being in Kelowna.

If you’re looking for a way to make the most of your weekend, we are here to tell you about the notable events and activities coming to town.

Here is your Weekend Need to KNow!

OC Coyotes Basketball Home Opener

Cheer on Kelowna’s newest sports team at their season home openers this weekend!

On Friday night starting at 6 pm the Okanagan College basketball teams will host back to back games at Quigley Elementary against Camosun College. Grab your pom-poms and cheer them on!

Comedy for a Cause

Spend your Friday night at Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge having a laugh or two for a great cause starting at 7 pm.

Comedians Phil Maynard, Andrew Crone, Bonnie Esson, Zawer Sulaiman and David Kopp will have your sides splitting in no time! Tickets will be available at the door for $20 and 100% of sales will go on to support the Okanagan Observatory!

Craft Culture at Manteo

If you want to get some holiday shopping done early or just feel like finding some beautiful handcrafted items from BC artisans, head to Manteo Resort this Saturday or Sunday to get in on the first Craft Culture market of the season.

Admission for the event is free, but organizers are encouraging attendees to bring either a monetary or non-perishable food donation for the local food bank.

The event will take place from 10 am until 5 pm on Saturday, Nov. 9, as well as from 10 am until 4 pm on Sunday, Nov. 10!

Remembrance Day

For those of you hoping to pay your respects this Remembrance Day, there are a number of events across the valley you can do so.

Kelowna itself has two events taking place, one in City Park which is set to begin at 10:30 am and another at the Lions Park Cenotaph in Rutland also scheduled for 10:30 am.
