West Kelowna mother-daughter duo, Donna and Danielle Scheven, had a successful debut at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.
The duo’s jewelry brand, Carolily, was launched in 2015 and last fall they accepted the opportunity of a lifetime to bring their brand to the runways of Paris.
The all-woman team operates out of the Carolily studio in West Kelowna and brought a one-of-a-kind collection to Paris Fashion Week, which was held from Sept. 25 to Oct. 3.
“It has been a surreal experience,” says Danielle.
“We had the privilege of participating in New York Fashion Week a few years back, but seeing out jewelry walk the Parisian runaways was something else entirely.”
The unique jewelry pieces were designed by Donna who described the collection as a celebration of women and an appreciation of glamorous days gone by, say the designers.
“Creating a collection without restrictions or boundaries was as freeing as it was exhilarating,” Donna says.
“Seeing our jewelry walk the runaway after months of hard work and numerous design iterations was incredibly validating.”
The special jewelry collection isn’t just limited to the runways of high fashion but they are also available on the women’s website, carolily.com.
A few pieces from the Paris collection are still available but tons of other collections are still up for grabs by the Okanagan duo.
