West Kelowna Fire Rescue food drive sees record-breaking donations

The West Kelowna Fire Rescue 26th annual Holiday Food Drive was a big success.

Firefighters were out in the community Monday night collecting donations for the Central Okanagan Food Bank, which will support families and people in need over the holidays.

The 2023 food drive collected a record breaking 10,730 pounds of food and more than $3,300 in cash donations.

If you missed the food drive, donations are still being accepted at all four West Kelowna fire halls until Tuesday, Jan. 2.

That includes station 31 on Old Okanagan Highway, station 32 on Olalla Road, Station 33 on Westlake Road and Station 34 on Gates Road.
