Rock The Lake will return to downtown Kelowna this summer and we have our first look at some of the names on the 2023 lineup.
The music festival revealed its first four acts today in Burton Cummings with his band, Collective Soul, Everlast Presents: Whitey Ford’s House Of Pain and Bran Van 3000.
They, along with a number of yet-to-be-announced names, will rock out in the Prospera Place parking lot from Aug. 11-13.
“When we first launched Rock The Lake in 2016, we viewed it as an opportunity to bring fun community building activities to the region using live entertainment and music, similar to our experience in other parts of BC,” said Graham Lee, president and CEO of GSL Group. “We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a fun-filled three day weekend.”
The festival will announce more bands in the coming weeks and promised an “all-new lineup of impressive rock acts” for the sixth edition of Rock The Lake this summer.
After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rock The Lake returned last summer with names like Nazareth, A Flock of Seagulls, The Tea Party, Bif Naked, Chilliwack, Trooper and more.
The GSL Group donated more than a thousand tickets to the 2022 festival to local healthcare workers as a thank you for their dedication, commitment and courage throughout the pandemic.
“We are very happy to see something that we created for the community become such a valued annual event in the Okanagan,” noted Lee.
“It all started from an idea we had years ago. Being able to fulfill and reinforce a community purpose and connection by inviting local healthcare workers as our special guests in 2022 was very special.”
Early bird tickets for Rock The Lake 2023 are now available and will set you back $175 for a weekend pass. There are also VIP weekend passes available for $449.
Head on over to the Rock The Lake website for more information and to secure your tickets.
