The Kelowna Rockets will look a little different when they hit the ice at Prospera Place on Saturday night.
When the Rockets host the Prince George Cougars, they’ll be wearing special themed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles jerseys that will be auctioned off for charity.
It’s part of the WHL’s annual RE/MAX: Nickelodeon Night for the Children’s Miracle Network initiative, which will raise funds to support the BC Children’s Hospital.
The charity auction to secure these game-worn jerseys for your collection has already begun and will be open until noon on Thursday, Feb. 29.

This initiative began during the 2022-23 season and saw nearly $160,000 raised in support of Children’s Hospital Foundations across Western Canada.
“The WHL and our clubs in Western Canada are excited to partner with RE/MAX to generate even further support for the Children’s Miracle Network while also delivering an exciting fan experience thanks to Nickelodeon,” said WHL commissioner Ron Robison.
All 16 of the WHL’s Canadian markets will host a Nickelodeon theme night again this year, featuring special theme jerseys, giveaways and in-game activations.
“Getting kids back to being kids is why we do what we do,” notes Adam Starkman, president and CEO of Canada Children’s Hospital Foundations. “And I can’t think of a better way to showcase that than a night filled with games, video and music featuring hockey and the Nickelodeon characters kids know and love.”
You can secure your tickets to Saturday’s special theme night game by visiting the Select Your Tickets website, calling 250-762-5050 or visiting the Prospera Place box office.
