If you’ve been an avid reader of this beer column for the last year (it’s coming up on its one-year anniversary!), you’re probably aware that I always try to be honest with my loyal readers.
So it’s time to be honest – the column won’t be anything extravagant this week, as I ran up against the clock working on other stories.
I know, I know, it’s a shame when the real work gets in the way of the more important stuff like drinking a cold beer on a hot summer day, but sometimes that’s the reality.
Nevertheless, the beers featured this week are no joke and well worth your time to check out, as they come from the fantastic Backcountry Brewing in Squamish.
Known just as much for its creative, witty names and labels as it is for its beer, Backcountry appears to have the sours on lock this summer.
Sadly, some of these may be sold out at your favourite liquor store, but hopefully you can get your hands on at least one to try.
Here’s a list of what to look out for, but I’m not going to include their full names because some of them are VERY long:
Spicy Mango Sour
(This one was JUST released, so if it's not at your local liquor store it may be because it's not there yet rather than being sold out)
Fuzzy Peach Sour
Guava Sour
Cherry Cola Gummy Sour
Pineapple Basil Sour
Passionfruit Orange Guava Sour
