Original Story:

A wildfire is currently burning just above Bear Creek Campground on Westside Road.

There has been an emergency evacuation order declared. The Evacuation Order affects approximately 156 properties and remains in place for the Bear Creek Provincial Park campground, Trader’s Cove subdivision, and properties along Bear Creek Road north of the Parkinson Road intersection including Dougmac, Rose Valley and Petterson Roads.
