On Tuesday, the ALS Society of BC presented Jim Csek, founder, COO and CFO of Csek Creative from KelownaNow with the 2023 ALS Society of BC Exceptional Public Awareness - Media Award.

The award recognizes KelownaNow’s support during the June 2023 ALS Awareness Month.

“KelownaNow’s extensive market reach has increased support for ALS BC events taking place in the Okanagan and throughout BC.”

The award was presented to Csek at a “Celebration of Volunteerism and Service” ceremony hosted by the ALS Society of BC in Richmond.

Csek said he was “profoundly honored” to receive this award from the ALS Society of BC on behalf of the entire team at KelownaNow and Csek Creative, both based out of Kelowna.

“This recognition not only underscores our media platform's dedication to fostering a stronger community but also highlights our commitment to disseminating vital information,” he said.

“We believe that organizations like the ALS Society of BC are the cornerstone of a robust and healthy community, deserving of both media attention and unwavering support. Our partnership with the ALS Society is a testament to our shared vision of creating a more informed and supportive society for all."
