Canadian psychologist, author, and media commentator Jordan B. Peterson is set to visit two different BC communities this spring.
On May 19, 2023, Peterson will be at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria for his Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life tour. Then, he’ll take the stage at Prospera Place in Kelowna on May 26, 2023.
This tour is for the sequel to his book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, published in 2018. His new book was released on March 2, 2021.
Peterson has taught mythology to lawyers, doctors and business people, consulted for the UN Secretary General, helped his clinical clients manage depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and schizophrenia, served as an adviser to senior partners of major Canadian law firms, and lectured extensively in North America and Europe.
With his students and colleagues at Harvard and the University of Toronto, Peterson has published over one hundred scientific papers, transforming the modern understanding of personality, while his book Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief revolutionized the psychology of religion.
Peterson is a controversial psychologist and author who has been involved in an ongoing dispute with the Ontario College of Psychologists which stems from his social media use. He wad banned from Twitter following a series of comments he made about trans actor Elliot Page.
