A mother-daughter duo from West Kelowna are continuing to pay it forward to their community with an inaugural Women’s Day fundraiser next month.
Donna and Danielle Scheven, co-owners of Carolily jewelry company, are inviting the community to their happy hour event, which will see proceeds benefiting two local charities.
“We are excited to welcome community members to our happy hour event on March 8th in celebration of International Women’s Day, and in support of both Mamas for Mamas and Karis Support Society,” says Danielle.
“We want this evening to be about supporting ALL the women in our community.”
Mamas for Mamas will be given 50% of all ticket proceeds.
There will also be a silent auction with 100% of proceeds going to the Karis Support Society, which is a 37-bed facility that provides a continuum of services for women struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.
Early bird tickets are on sale until Feb. 23 and cost $40.
Regular admission and door sale tickets will be available for $45.
Ticket holders will enjoy a welcome drink, snacks and appetizers and live music.
“We look forward to welcoming all those who love and support women to our event,” Donna shares.
“This is an opportunity to come together as a community.”
