The Canadians are off to a strong start at the 2024 IIHF U18 World Championship in Finland.
Team Canada was up against Czechia on Friday after handing Sweden a 6-3 loss the day before.

It did not take long for the Canadians to find the back of the net as Malcolm Spence potted a goal five seconds into the game against Czechia.
The score marked the fastest goal in the tournament’s history.
Tij Iginla added to Canada’s lead a couple of minutes later on a shorthanded goal before scoring his second of the match at the 7:10 mark.

Carson Wetsch added to the score and the Canadians went into the second period with a 4-0 lead.
Neither team scored in the middle frame before Gavin McKenna added a pair of goals in the third period to make it a 6-0 game, the final score.
The Canadians are now 2-0 and will face Switzerland in their next preliminary match on Sunday.
