A snowfall warning has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway.
Environment Canada said in a weather notice that about 15 centimetres of spring snow is expected to fall tonight and Tuesday morning.
The agency said it would be “heavy, wet snow.”
It also warned of poor visibility and slippery surfaces.
“A frontal system will move across southern BC today and tonight bringing rain and snow to the area,” the notice reads.
“Precipitation will initially start as rain this afternoon as the snow level rises above the Coquihalla Summit.
“Rain will change to snow near the summit this evening as the snow level falls to near the summit. Snow will become scattered flurries Tuesday morning and abate near noon. A total of 15 cm is forecast by noon on Tuesday.”
A separate snowfall warning has also been issued for Hwy 1.
Regularly updated road conditions are available at DriveBC.
