An infill housing project is being proposed for the 700 block of Lawson Avenue.
The application was accepted on Tuesday, April 12 and has been circulated at city hall.
Design plans indicate that the two storey building would include four units with three bedrooms and one parking spot each.
Located about five minutes from the downtown core, this project is an ideal infill development.
The infill housing concept was introduced to Kelowna in 2016 as a way to add new units in existing neighbourhoods while limiting urban sprawl.
In addition, this is proposed for the RU-7 zone which allows for two to four units to be built in existing neighbourhoods that have schools, parks, stores and are close to places of employment and the city’s transit system.
This application will be dealt with at the city staff level in the next two to three months.
A number of other infill applications city staff have accepted include another fourplex on Martin Avenue, a fourplex on Francis Avenue near KGH, two duplexes on Ethel Avenue and a fourplex on Coronation Avenue,
